Location & History

JSS in Civita / Land of Origins LTD, Via Terrano 9 – 01033 Civita Castellana VT Italy

JSS, the Jerusalem Studio School under Director & Founder Israel Hershberg concluded its operations in the city of Jerusalem in 2013. The model of the JSS Master Class was relocated to the JSS in Civita Summer Art School & Residency in Italy. The JSS is considered by many artists, scholars, curators and museum directors to have profoundly transformed visual, figurative and pictorial culture from its founding in 1997 with an impact that extends to this day. As of 2017, the new Jerusalem Studio School has reopened in the city of Jerusalem under the direction of Yedidya Hershberg.
