The Evocative Landscape – Painting and Drawing the Italian Landscape

This is a “hands-on” two-week landscape painting class. All levels of ability are welcome to join this class. Our focus will be on painting the landscape augmented with demonstrations for strategies for blocking in, building and completing a landscape painting.
Civita Castellana offers a beautiful, untamed and diverse landscape where students can interact with the ever-changing light of the region. The unique quality of the landscape around Civita is the focus of this two-week program, which provides the students the opportunity to concentrate exclusively on the unique and expressive quality of oil painting.
All levels of ability are welcome to join this class.
Learning to make a unified landscape painting in Italy, the epicenter of painting.
Students will receive instruction on landscape painting, color mixing and compositional strategies for landscape painting.

Evenings will offer lectures
