An Arcadian Retreat in a Community of Artists
Guided Residency – September 9th – September 23, 2024
The JSS in Civita 2 week Guided Residency is available as a followup extension to Master Class Residency participants. Immediately following the Master Class, the Guided Residency permits an opportunity to create momentum and further expand the advances gained in the previous two weeks. This is a more loosely structured period of independent work punctuated by sessions of direction, conversation and critique tailored to each individual. The studio classroom will be available for those wishing to continue working indoors. Again, individual studio spaces are also available.

This get-away-from-it-all artists’ residency is an opportunity to continue work in JSS in Civita’s incubator-like environment, yet engage in a more self-directed exploration as a way of processing and moving forward what has been culled in the Master Class. This is the perfect space for those seeking a setting attuned to intense work, in that easily accessible, deeply evocative and iconic landscape that is Civita Castellana and the Roman Campagna – all within eye’s reach with emphasis on individual vision and introspection.
